Here are some behind the scene, pre and post creation, pics of Veneer magazine, one of the world’s stranger publications.
Veneer is released quarterly in an edition of 18 issues, before it will be ceased. Full editions sold to the public- that’s you and me- are limited to 300, with a price that fluctuates based on a algorhythmical code!
“THE PRICE OF THE EDITION RISES QUARTERLY WITHOUT WARNING. WHAT DETERMINES THIS PRICE INCREASE IS A PIECE OF ALGORITHMIC CODE THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY USED AT THE U.S. SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION OFFICES “WOODLAWN.” THIS PROGRAM ACCUMULATES INTEREST ON ANY OBJECT GIVEN SUCH A VALUE. OUR VALUE IS THE EDITION.”
Further editions which are not for sale, are posted to libraries and educational facilities worldwide. The mags themselves are physically lavish, and many strange features are applied to disinguish Veneer in the world of humble print mags.
