I’m a little late with this one (better late than never), but I want to share with you an incredible album released by my good friend, the hip-hop producer and sometime-emcee, Scatabrainz, entitled “Moonlight Music”. If you like mellow instrumental hip-hop a la Blockhead and Entroducing-era Shadow, then this collection of 17 blissed-out tracks is definitely for you. “Moonlight Music” was about three years in the making, and finally saw the light of day this year when Scatabrainz put it online as a free download. It sounds like DJ Premier on smack, in an Arabian desert, blasting off to the moon on a NASA launchpad. Go geddit.
