I love when the sounds of Finland’s avant-folk artists wash up on these shores. “Psychedelic, abstract & emotionally captivating” songstress Lau Nau’s second album “Nukkuu” came out earlier this month, and is a spirited wash of tumble-down instrumentalism and haunted vocals, swathed in an other-worldliness reminscent of contemporaries like Islaja, Kiila and Hertta Lussu Ässä. Songs on her Myspace page are free to download, and the album “Nukkuu” is available now from all mountain-top music stores.
