By putting on high-grade DJs like Kentaro and Kid 606 on a Thursday night, Hows Your Party? (HYP?) are giving some much needed resuscitation to the Glasgow club scene. Held weekly at the Sub Club in Jamaica Street in the city centre, this Thursday’s HYP? has special guests A-Track and DJ Medhi on the line-up, as well as local man Rustie.

Here’s the scoop:

” HYP? continues on through October with it’s biggest line up yet. A-Trak and DJ Mehdi join forces for a 4 deck sizzler of a set showcasing themselves as two of the very best DJs on the go just now. A-Trak’s well known for winning 5 DMC and ITF world titles in his time as well as rocking the tables for Kanye West in his spare time. He’s recently launched his new label Fool’s Gold as well as remixing Kanye, Digitalism, Bonde Do Role, Architecture In Helsinki & Bumblebeez in his own breakbeat booty electro stylings.

DJ Medhi is pretty much the only thing on hipster French label Ed Banger that’s really worth the hype. His recent album ‘Lucky Boy’ has been doing the damage on everyone’s boombox and remixes of Joakim, CSS, Cassius and Ettiene De Crecy have solidified his credentials.

Rustie’s blazing trails all over town with his low slung electro womp and booty bashin’ productions for Glasgow labels Point.One and Dress To Sweat. Forthcoming remix of Jahcoozi and DJ sets in Paris, Oslo, Brussels and all the shows that matter in Glasgow ensure the rep grows bigger. “
